that's a playground. If not on private property, a public playground. Or are you referring to the structure itself? If so it's a jungle gym.

I'd call it a playground. If it was something set up specifically for adults to exercise, I'd call it an outdoor gym. We have those at some parks in Sydney. But seeing there's a swing here, that's probably not what this is!

This looks like it's made for kids, so the spot in the picture would be a playground, or the play structure at a park. If it's made for adults to use for fitness, I would call it an outdoor gym, or the outdoor fitness structure at the park. In America, these are usually part of a park, so part of a larger outdoor area for public use.p

Yard sounds British to you? I’ve always associated yard/lawn with American English and “garden” with British English. Unless I’m misunderstanding something here.

“Playground”, or “park” if you want to slightly obscure the fact that you work out on children’s play equipment. 😅 Some parks have purpose-made exercise apparatus built separately from the kids’ playground so people can work out on it.

Yard as a term for garden is not British. In the UK we would call this a playground or play area, adult equipment for exercise found in parks is an outdoor gym but this looks designed for children.

Park. "I work out at the park." Given your guesses "Yard" and "Outdoors" and the emphasis on it not being private I assume you're referring to the general area and the concept of a public outdoor space and not so much the structure or equipment itself. A playground or playground equipment is usually a specific part of a park.

Just call it a calisthenics park. Also, I think you're from an Eastern Slavic country (maybe Ukraine, Belarus, or Russia). I make this assumption because my girlfriend - Ukrainian - also calls an "area" a "territory" hehe.

This is definitely a mix of adult exercise equipment and kid's play equipment. If it's open to the public that would be a "public park" or "my local park" in my way of speaking.

I'd point out it's kind of unusual for an adult to work out on a kid's climbing frame (which is what I'd probably call this in Britain) in the UK and Australia at least. So this picture appears to be on private property (we would use that term 'property' not 'territory'.

Tell them you work out at the gym. The jungle gym. :) That's a play on words. A gym is where you go to work out. A 'jungle gym' is a piece of recreational equipment found in playgrounds. It is made of metal, and is something kids climb on.

I'd go with playground. Or you could say "public park". Lots of parks have (adult-sized) circuit training/bodyweight exercise equipment, installed for public use. It might get some odd looks if you tell people you were working out on a playground (which is typically assumed to be for children).

I’m guessing this is not your picture and you found a similar structure online to use as an example, but you’re thinking of something that’s more like what’s [shown here (link to photo)](https://www.reddit.com/r/Oman/comments/p1un8c/does_anyone_know_where_i_can_find_an_outdoor/). I would call it an outdoor exercise structure. You could also specify that it’s in a park (if that’s true) and people will know what you’re talking about.

I don’t exactly understand. Private territory? You mean this is a common outdoor space split between multiple homes/units? Shared yard. The thing you’re using, or any similar installation of permanent outdoor fitness equipment, is an outdoor gym. If I worked out here and it is in fact a shared yard, I’d actually just say ‘my place has an outdoor gym.’ Or ‘our common area has a little outdoor gym.’ I wouldn’t call it a yard unless it was actually my yard, just because specifying ‘shared yard’ feels cumbersome. If it’s in a park, you work out in the park. I may also refer to this a greenspace, if it’s not a formal park but serves that function for several housing units. Greenspace isn’t how I’d respond to a question about where I work out, but I would use it when describing the outdoor facilities at a housing complex. We’ve got a lil greenspace w/ an outdoor gym.
