How's the word "won" (Korean currency) pronounced in Squid game?

Korean speaker here. Won is pronounced exactly the same as won (past tense of win) or the number one.

It sounds like "one".

As an English person I would have assumed that Won rhymed with gone/don/ron, not one/gun But the proper Korean pronunciation may be different

It’s pronounced as described by the native Korean speaker above… Like the past tense of win (won). Like the number one. Like the weapon gun. I’ve never seen squid game, so I have no idea whether anyone on that show speaks correctly.

Just went and listened to the first instance I could find of them saying “Won” in the dubbed version. It sounds kind of in between the two pronunciations mentioned here, but closer to rhyming with gone (which is how I generally pronounce it as a native English speaker)

I rhyme it with "gone".
