To wake up is to go from sleeping to not sleeping. To get up is to go from sitting or laying down to standing (and it can be used for the action of getting out of bed first thing in the morning).

Wake up is when you were sleeping and now you are no longer asleep.
Get up is when you actually get out of the bed

I can wake up and still be in bed. Getting up requires me to actually get out of bed.

When going from sleeping to waking - wake up/get up
Getting out of bed - get up
Get up also sounds more casual, “i get up at 7 most mornings” to me sounds like im js telling a friend, while “i wake up at 7 most mornings” sounds like im about to tell you my whole day to day schedule.
When a distinction is needed between getting up (out of bed) and waking, we use getting up exclusively to mean get out of bed:
“Well i woke up at 6 but i actually -got up- at 7”
This means speaker lay in bed for an hour, theyll usually stress got up to emphasise the distinction

If you "get up" very quickly then you can also "jump out of bed"
"I jumped out of bed after hearing the smoke detector."

You can wake up, and still lying in bed scrolling your phone. Get up means getting off the bed physically.
