hello reddit! i'm used to learn english in school, but that was 2 years ago, i'm not fluent, my pronunciation is not very well, most of my capacity is for writing in english but I don't know how I sound to a native. I'm B1 my brother knows more english than me, he went to an academy and plays csgo and practice english there lol. I'm too shy to speak with strangers, but I know that I need to practice with others... how can I improve my speaking skills furthermore to speak with others? how is my writing skills? I know I could sound better but I don't know how hehe. how can I sound more natural?

I am just going to copy your entire post and rewrite it in American English to the best of my ability and I hope that will help. Your writing is understandable but not natural and falls into some very common traps. > hello reddit! i'm used to learn english in school, but that was 2 years ago, i'm not fluent, my pronunciation is not very well, most of my capacity is for writing in english but I don't know how I sound to a native. any tips to learn self-taught?

Hey there! I’m a teacher of English :) what I recommend (and these are the things that I’ve done) is the following: - pretend that you are talking to someone about a specific topic - you can listen to post cast and then you can talk about what you understood (maybe you can talk with a friend or alone) - and what the best thing for me is pretending that I am teaching an accent or something (like I’m at home and my student is the air haha) Hope it works :)
